Dr Josef Rich OBE Gordon Watkins MBE is President of the BDA. Gordon started his career as a dental officer in the RAF before becoming a general dental practitioner in Norfolk. He has worked with the Association at local and national level for more than thirty years. Gordon has always taken an interest in clinical audit health and science and decontamination as well as spending time as vice-chair of council and chair of International Affairs, Professionals Complementary to Dentistry, Finance and Health and Science. Now retired from clinical practice Gordon maintains a keen interest in decontamination, Health and Science and International affairs.
Susie Sanderson Susie Sanderson is the Chair of the BDA's Executive Board. Susie is a GDP in a mixed family practice in Sheffield. She has been involved in the BDA at local and national level for a number of years and has enjoyed contributing in a wide variety of areas including students, young dentists, DCPs, GDPC, events and healthcare policy. Susie was elected Chair of the Executive Board in February of this year.
Stewart Johnson Stuart Johnston is Chair of the BDA's Representative Body. Stuart qualified in Cardiff in 1972 and has worked in his Newbridge practice since 1995. He became active in dental politics in the 1980s at a local then national level through the then General Dental Services Committee of the BDA, occupying a number of senior positions including acting as vice chair for 5 years. He was first elected to the Representative Board - later to become the Representative Body - in 1997 and became Chair in 2008. Stuart continues to be closely involved at all levels of the BDA.
