Overview and welcome to student membership

Welcome to the BDA's student pages

The BDA is proud to represent and support members throughout their careers and we welcome all UK undergraduate dentists to join us as members. As you take your first steps on your career path to professional status we are pleased to be able to offer membership free of charge for the first three years of undergraduate study. We aim to offer a range of benefits developed to help you through your studies keeping you up-to-date with dental news, and crucially to assist you with finding your first position.  We regularly visit dental schools to speak to students about how we can help, and to listen to your concerns, so please come and say hello! You can find out more about  BDA services for students within these pages - click here to read more about student benefits

Key BDA student membership benefits include:

- discounts, including 25% discount on all BDJ books, click here to find out more

- free publications, inlcuding Launchpad, our magazine published three times a year for students and first-year graduates

- representation, each UK dental school elects a representative to sit on the BDA's Student Committee which meets twice a year

British Dental Students' Association (BDSA)

Each year the BDSA holds an Annunal Conference in February. The 2008 event took place in Birmingham 21-23 February, to see details of the programme please visit www.bdsaconference2008.com. Details of the 2009 event to be held in Manchester 19-21 February, will released by the BDSA over the coming months. Please contact your school BDSA rep for more information and how to join and how you can get involved.
